BastionGuard 2.0.1 is officially available

We are pleased to announce the official availability of BastionGuard 2.0.1.

All official packages have been rebuilt, published, and verified. The BastionGuard repositories are now fully updated, synchronized, and available for all supported Linux distributions.

New download management

Starting today, installation packages can be downloaded directly from the official BastionGuard repositories using the links provided in each download description.

This system provides direct access to:

• the latest available package;
• the appropriate directory for each distribution and architecture;
• updated repository metadata;
• the official installation instructions.

Only APKBUILD and ebuild files will continue to be distributed through the website download manager.

Fixes included in version 2.0.1

BastionGuard 2.0.1 includes important bug fixes and stability improvements.

In particular, the issue affecting the ransomware real-time quarantine workflow has been corrected.

The quarantine system now:

• quarantines only the individual detected file;
• no longer moves the directory containing the file;
• rejects directories and unsupported filesystem objects;
• immediately displays the file in the Quarantine section;
• allows the file to be restored or permanently removed;
• prevents the quarantine directory from being processed again by the real-time scanner.

The correction was verified through a complete end-to-end test using a dedicated harmless YARA test rule.

The official repositories are fully synchronized and include updated packages for supported distributions, including:

Upgrade recommendation

All BastionGuard 2.0 users are strongly advised to upgrade to version 2.0.1.
